Slugs and snails: Use physical barriers like copper tape or hand-pick at night; avoid excessive mulch near crowns.

Sawfly larvae: Hand-pick larvae into soapy water or apply a biological control like nematodes.

Bacterial soft rot: Ensure excellent drainage and avoid waterlogging; remove and destroy infected rhizomes immediately.

Grey mould (Botrytis): Improve air circulation around plants and remove dead foliage to reduce humidity at the base.

Iris leaf spot: Remove and dispose of infected leaves; avoid wetting foliage when watering.
