Watch out for

Bacterial soft rot: Cut away affected tissue with a disinfected knife, allow to dry, and ensure well-drained soil.

Slugs and snails: Use physical barriers like copper tape or apply iron phosphate pellets to control populations.

Iris leaf spot: Remove and dispose of infected leaves and clear all debris at the end of the season.

Grey mould (Botrytis): Improve air circulation around plants and remove any dead or decaying plant material promptly.

Thrips: Inspect plants regularly and use blue sticky traps to monitor and reduce adult populations.
