Watch out for

Lime-induced chlorosis: Plant only in lime-free ericaceous compost or well-drained acidic soil beds.

Powdery mildew: Improve air circulation and apply a suitable fungicide if infection is severe.

Bud blast: Site plants in sheltered positions to protect against cold winds and frost damage.
