GardenWizz is a UK gardening encyclopedia and magazine. We publish plant guides built around verified fact tables — hardiness, position, soil, flowering and pruning calendars — alongside practical growing guides, seasonal advice, garden design features and gardening news, all written for UK gardeners, UK seasons and the UK climate.
How our content is made
GardenWizz is an independent project, grown in a homelab. We use modern AI tools as part of our writing and illustration process, with safeguards we think matter:
- Facts are retrieved, not invented. The data in our plant fact tables (hardiness ratings, sizes, flowering months and so on) is extracted from cited reference sources. Where a fact isn't available from a source, we leave the field blank rather than guess — you'll sometimes see a dash in a table for exactly that reason. Each plant page lists its fact source at the bottom.
- Content is reviewed before publishing. Articles go through a review step before they appear on the site.
- Images are our own. The photographs on GardenWizz are generated by our own local image pipeline and are illustrative — see our disclaimer.
